The 2025 Virginia Eminent Domain Conference , this year sub-titled “Furthering the Discussion About What is Working and What Isn’t” will again be at the lovely Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. May 8-9, 2025
Dave Arnold and I will be presenting on two different interesting topics again this year.
- Dave will be presenting along with relocation expert Kristen Short about “Relocation Issues: The Role of the Attorney in the Relocation Process” on May 8 at 3:15pm. With over a thousand relocations completed, Kristen has established herself as a relocation expert where she has mastered the best practices within that specialty. Kristen was named the 2021 Frank C. Balfour Professional of the Year, which is the highest honor awarded by the International Right of Way Association. She is also an IRWA Instructor for relocation courses and was the recipient of the IRWA’s 2020 W. Howard Armstrong Instructor of the Year Award. Kristen is the co-founder and co-host of the award-winning Infrastructure Junkies! podcast, which explores right of way, eminent domain, and infrastructure development.
- If you’ll be attending, the evening of May 8 please stop by and see us at the cocktail reception sponsored by Pender & Coward’s Eminent Domain / Right of Way Practice Group, from 5:00 PM-6:00 PM.
- I will be presenting on “Commercial Tenants: How to Not Get Lost in the Shuffle” dealing with how commercial tenants interact in eminent domain acquisitions. I will be presenting along with Kamilla Bogdanov, Esq. Senior Director, Corporate Counsel-Real Estate, Dollar Tree, Chesapeake, at 9:ooam on May 9.
As always, if you can make it, stop by and say hi. We’d love to see you!
